It's a good idea to clean out your temp folder on a regular basis. Warren in our office recommends monthly if possible.

There are a couple of easy ways to access your temp folder. The first is to open Windows Explorer aka File Explorer and type in %temp% in the address bar at the top, then press enter. This will instantly take you to your temp folder.

The other option is to follow the steps below.

  • Open the C Drive
  • Go into users
  • Go to users
  • Chose the (username)
  • Click into AppData
  • Go into Local
  • And Temp folder

Your temp folder is where installation log files go, and where autosave backups of files are stored and where some Revit backups go too, so it's good to know how to get to it. If you have any questions, please let us know!
